Far from sunny and bright, Fevr offers a unique brand of pure coldwave/newwave/post-punk with a heavy darkwave and darksynth influence, endearingly menacing synth work, callous and brooding vocals, stellar guitar and drum work, and deep, thought-provoking yet simply relatable lyricism, this band is a creation of a cold, desolate, and sorrowful stroke of genius from an anxious mind.
Described as "Gloomgaze/Post-Punkery" by Procession Magazine Los Angeles-based OCCULTS is a Post-Punk/Shoegaze revival project formed by #1 Billboard recording artist, Emilio Hernandez and drummer, Patrick Lawrence. The pair have been best-friends, bandmates, and writing partners for over 20 years - first meeting in 2001 and forming the dance rock band Nothing Still. During the gloom and depression of the pandemic, Hernandez began writing all new music and sending demos to Lawrence, to which he could only describe as “the music we had been wanting to write since we were teenagers, but were never talented enough to make.”
The result was a combination of aggressively fast rhythms, Johnny Marr-esque guitar melodies, and dreamy beside vocals by Hernandez. They have since built a worldwide fan-base through tracks like Crystal Coffins, Hot Crucible and Depeche Mode - an ode to the band that inspired them as teenagers.
In 2024, OCCULTS released their first full-length album and vinyl “RITUALS” through Midnight Mannequin Records and are currently touring the country in support of it.
The XRAY5 is a post-punk / darkwave project from Los Angeles, led by Ray X, who drives the project’s vocals, synth, rhythm guitar, and creative direction. Drawing inspiration from Bauhaus, Joy Division, and Echo & The Bunnymen, The XRAY5 blends dark melodies, pulsing rhythms, and a brooding cinematic atmosphere.
Now part of the Darkwave Records roster, The XRAY5 has become a rising name in LA’s post-punk community and continues to grow its audience across Latin America and Europe. Following the 2023 release of Elegy (Hush Ltd.), the project has pushed into a new era—releasing new material through Darkwave Records and delivering immersive live performances that channel both modern darkwave and classic post-punk energy.
