Agent Orange
Agent Orange
The Original Southern California Punk/Surf Power Trio, Agent Orange, is one of only a handful of bands who have been continually active since the earliest days of the West Coast Punk Scene. A small circle of musical rebels who came together to form a movement, they took their place front and center to experience and participate in the explosion of now legendary underground music that was created during the golden era of American Punk Rock. Being the first to combine the melodic California surf guitar sound with the frantic energy of punk, Agent Orange invented the formula that would come to define the Orange County punk sound. Highly influential to many of the bands who have followed in theirTheir strong connection to the Action Sports world has resulted in their music providing the soundtrack to numerous major motion pictures, video games, surf and skate films, television, and live sports events. The last of the true independents, Agent Orange have managed to stay true to their roots, while always moving forward. Powered by a loyal following built up through years of explosive live performances all over the world, Agent Orange continue to deliver their Fullblown-Supercharged-Punk-Surf Sound on an international basis, with a never ending schedule of tours in the United States, Canada, South America, Europe, Australia, and Japan. C'mon down front and expose yourself to Agent Orange.
UK Subs
UK Subs
The UK Subs were another group that emerged from the scene at The Roxy in London in 1977. Founder and Lead Vocalist Charlie Harper was playing in R&B and pub rock groups before being influenced by bands like The Damned to turn to punk.

The band was based around Harper's growling Cockney vocals with Nicky Garratt on Guitar, Paul Slack on Bass and a variety of drummers. Although adopting punk stylings, the bands work was still heavily influenced by R&B, albeit played fast. Their sound was most similar to Sham 69 or The Angelic Upstarts, although without the skinhead following

Whilst never having a big hit, several singles made the lower reaches of the Top 30 in the late 70s, including "Stranglehold", "Tomorrow's Girls", a cover of The Zombies classic "She's Not There" and "Warhead". The first two studio LPs "Another Kind of Blues" and "Brand New Age" also made the lower reaches of the album charts.

In 1983 Nicky Garratt left the band along with bass player Alvin Gibbs and then drummer Kim Wylie leaving Charlie Harper to recruit a whole new band.

Garratt would come back in and out of the line-up over the following 25 years whilst Charlie carried on touring and recording with an almost ever changing line-up.

The UK Subs are the only band to record an album for every letter of the alphabet, in order, reaching Z (Ziezo) in 2016.
American Punk band formed in 1989 in Huntington Beach, California. They have released 9 full-length studio albums and two live albums and have toured, including performances on the Vans Warped Tour.
They are infamous for their outrageous lyrics and behavior which are deliberately explicit, offensive and intended to shock, though usually in a humorous and sarcastic manner. This behavior has sometimes resulted in high-profile problems for the band, such as being banned from performing in Canada for several years due to onstage nudity, and leaving the 2004 Warped Tour amidst controversy over their political views and attitudes towards other performers on the lineup.

Rat City Ruckus
Brett, formerly of "First Time Felon" and Phil and Dustin formerly of "For Rent" met at a mutual friends house party and came together to start a new band in 2004.
Originally playing house parties around Seattle usually thrown by themselves in White Center they started getting out and playing more shows and bringing the party atmosphere to bigger stages.
In 2007 they were the first band to be signed to Rockin Stan Records and recorded their first full length album "Quartres" with Tony as engineer at One and a Half Bastards Crappy Ass Recordings.
Although Tony was originally a drummer for various Seattle bands, they realized the chemistry during recording and asked him to join up on Rhythm guitar.
"...Plus he had a van."
After 2 more years of playing shows and a small Northwest tour they entered M.O.B Studios in Seattleto record their 2nd full length album "Mustard Shot" in 2009.
A new studio album is in the works with recording planned for late 2012 and release in 2013

Rat City Ruckus has shared the stage with many of their influences including NOFX, The Dead Milkmen, Angry Samoans, DOA, to name a few.

After 2 more years of playing shows and a small Northwest tour they entered M.O.B Studios to record their 2nd full length album "Mustard Shot" in 2009.
They setout in summer of 2010 on a Midwest tour with friends (and Tonys other band alongside his wife Mari Ichimasu, "Poop Attack!") Between shows a few of them would break out acoustic instruments and started playing Bluegrass.
Upon returning home they kept the bluegrass thing going by adding Banjo (played by Phil) mandolin (brett) and fiddle (Mari) to their sound while tony took over on acoustic guitar (all members take turns on the Upright Bass) and became a full fledged bluegrass band Rats in the Grass.
It came natural. Many of RITG's songs are derived from punk rock songs or are written with an uptempo punk rock vibe showing their ability to write great catchy songs That carry over outside of the punk rock bubble.
