The Frights
The Frights
The Frights may have started out as a joke but there's nothing funny about the unexpected rise to fame they've experienced over the past three years. It all started when this group of high school friends—guitarist/vocalist Mikey Carnevale, drummer Marc Finn and bassist Richard Dotson—put together a six-song, 30-minute set for fun. What they didn't bank on was the fact that someone in the audience would enjoy it so much that he would want to sign them to his independent label.

Over the next few years the group released two well-received EPs and a full-length before getting picked up by Dangerbird Records who are proud to releasing the fuzz-drenched rock act's second full length, You're Are Going To Hate This, an album that shows that the group have evolved not only into a legitimate act but one that seems to have no limit to their potential. This spirit of exploration and excitement is evident on all ten songs on You Are Going To Hate This from the upbeat exuberance of "All I Need" to the fuzzed-out bliss of "You Or Me" and tender vulnerability of "Growing Up." In fact even when Carnevale sings about depression and angst via lines like "everybody wants me dead but I just want to be left alone," on "Kids" it's relayed in such a catchy context that it's far more uplifting than upsetting.
Hunny
Hunny
The Southern California six-piece was formed in early 2014 by a group of long time friends and musicians. Hunny's charismatic sound draws from a blend of 1980's post-punk and their undying love for Prince.

HUNNY worked with producer/engineer Doug Boehm (Girls, Tokyo Police Club, Christopher Owens) on the new single "Cry for Me" which garnered more than 200,000 plays in it's first 2 months on Soundcloud, charting on the Top "Most Popular Tracks" on Hype Machine. The band also gained local support from KROQ where the single hit #1 on KROQ's Locals Only Show. Hunny has played sold out shows across the US including hometown dates at The Satellite and The Troubadour.

HUNNY is Jason Yarger, Jake Goldstein, Jacob Munk, Gregory Horne, Kevin Grimmett, and Joey Anderson.
